Scholarships are gifts. They don't need to be repaid. There are thousands of them, offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations.

Phillip James Neal Memorial Scholarship

Spring 2025 | $1,000 scholarship awarded

Phillip James Neal, a 2005 graduate of Washington State University, was a man of commitment, faith, and passion. Though he left us too soon in 2023, he will forever be remembered by his friends as someone who made a difference. Phillip loved to travel, invested deeply in others, and practiced kindness above all else. His vast network of friends has established this fund to honor his memory and celebrate his legacy by supporting students who need assistance and who aspire to travel, learn, and broaden their experiences in life.

Requirements:

  • Be a full-time Washington State University (WSU) student.
  • Must have been or currently participated in the African American Student Center, activities, resources, leadership, etc.
  • Be an enrolled WSU undergraduate student for the upcoming Fall term.
  • To be considered for this scholarship, students must complete WSU's General Scholarship Application.
