African American Student Center (AASC)

Welcome to the African American Student Center

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide an environment that is conducive to inspired learning for all students at Washington State University through academic, socio-cultural and career focused services. Although our services are culturally unique to the “Black” community, it is our hope that all members of the university embrace our rich history, language and life style.

To Our Cougar Community
We hope your summer is going well during, and despite, this global pandemic. Our MSS team is hard at work, planning for the fall semester. Unfortunately, we will be doing this work virtually at the start of the Fall 2020 semester. We have decided to close our physical centers for the health and safety of both our students, staff, and the WSU-Pullman community. Our signature events, such as MSS Open House Conexion, and Fall Graduation Celebration will continue virtually. Our staff, including Student Mentors and Student Office Assistants, will be available virtually to answer your questions. We are sad that we cannot connect with you all in person but we will continue to build community in exciting new ways. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us using our staff information link. Our team will be reaching out to all of you as we organize and advertise various programming and learning opportunities to support retention. We thank you, we miss you, and we look forward to seeing you all soon. We invite you to also follow us on our MSS social media listed on this page for various information.

Stay Safe and Healthy
